Freefall: Understanding Suicidal Crisis was motivated by a desire to help people understand the complex nature of suicidal crisis and encourage discussion about a sensitive subject.
The film is intended for a variety of audiences:
• People suffering from suicidal crisis. To help them identify the issues surrounding their condition, to help them realise they are not alone and more importantly by featuring those who have survived, to show that things can and do get better.
• Those who are worried about people around them; family and friends who may be at risk.
• Larger institutions such as prisons, schools, care homes and hospitals where teaching bigger groups of people how identify those at risk could help prevent escalation.
The film is available to buy on DVD for individual viewing and can be used for public audiences by arrangement. We are currently looking at creating a package of training materials built around the film for use as facilitator lead modules. If this is something that could work for your organisation please contact us at info@freefallfilm.co.uk to find out more.
